Long will serve as Morton’s Guest Bartender to raise funds and awareness for The Children’s Center. 

The Children’s Center was founded in 1929 as one of the first child guidance clinics in the country.  Today, it has evolved to become one of the largest, most diverse child-serving agencies in Michigan.  The Children’s Center offers programs that embrace children and families dealing with such issues as abuse, neglect, mental illness and behavioral problems.  Through the support of many generous and caring supporters and donors, The Children’s Center serves more than 5,000 children and families annually.

Notes:

Since his retirement, Long now serves at a Community Ambassador for the Detroit Pistons. A supporter of The Children’s Center, Long continually talks about the importance of literacy and education to different youth groups in support of the NBA Cares program. He also rotates as a radio analyst for the Pistons games on WDFN AM 1130. This past season he was named to the Pistons All-Time Team. Photo opportunities are available.
