In support of National Suicide Prevention Month, The Children’s Center and Detroit Pistons hosted “Demystifying Suicide” for a second year. This event took place on September 24th at The Detroit Pistons Performance Center and offered meaningful conversation surrounding suicide in the LGBTQ+ community.
Teens and adults listened to various speakers and participated in impactful breakout sessions. The energy in the room was great and the day ended with lunch and time to network and explore resources. We hope to see you at next year’s event and continue to change the narrative about suicide!
