There was much love to go around this Valentine’s Day at The Children’s Center. Two volunteer groups came in to read, create art and have lots of fun with our children and families.
Slalom Valentine’s Art Adventure
Slalom came with pizza (a crowd favorite!), and left us with lots of love and gratitude this Valentine’s Day. Volunteers helped our kids make Valentines with candy kisses and hearts for the special people in their lives. It’s no surprise that several candy kisses went missing along the way!
Gordon Food Service Valentine Event
Our Autism Spectrum Disorder group also got a great surprise this Valentine’s Day. A volunteer group from Gordon Food Service joined us to create art with the kids in our program. They also helped us do an inventory of our books in the Tau Beta Center for Family Literacy, and sorted and hung clothing in our boutique.
A warm thank you to all the volunteers who made our kids feel special and loved! You’re our Valentine.
