Common Core Education Presentation

Michigan Parent Teacher Association (MPTA) Team Lead on Common Core and Immediate Past President, Shaton Berry, will present on everything you should know regarding the recently adopted Common Core State Standards to be implemented in all Michigan schools during the 2014-2015 school year.
The Common Core State Standards were developed to provide a consistent set of clear expectations outlining the knowledge and skills K-12 students need in English, Language Arts, and Mathematics to lead to college and career readiness.
This workshop for parents, caregivers, youth, educators, service providers and community leaders, will be held on November 6th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Children’s Center Midtown Detroit Campus.
