Dealing with Anger & Violence in School-Aged Children
PRESENTED BY THE CHILDREN’S CENTER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROGRAM
An Ounce of Prevention is like a Pound of Cure:
Dealing with Anger & Violence in School-Aged Children
with Special Guest, Mr. Aaron Williams
Many children, having experienced some form of hurt, trauma, behavioral or emotional disorder – mask these hurts through anger and violence. When anger and violence is displayed during school, this can interfere with a positive school culture, preventing the child from focusing on academic success. Join The Children’s Center for an opportunity to:
- Explore the latest behavioral health interventions currently being employed by our child guidance professionals
- Discuss solutions that will best support students dealing with anger and violence in school
- Explore collaborative opportunities with The Children’s Center to enhance the schools ability to most effectively support students with the greatest needs
We will be joined by keynote speaker, Mr. Aaron Williams, the CAO and Superintendent of Pontiac Charter Schools. He brings 15 years of experience in grades K-12, including specialization in Curriculum Development/Alignment, Research Based Instructional Practices, Teacher/Leadership Development, Federal and State Programs (response to intervention), Special Education, Supervision and Evaluation.
